Teacher grants now available

Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau will award two $150 grants to teachers in the Marshall and Putnam school districts implementing agriculture in their lesson plans. Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom is a program coordinated by the Illinois Farm Bureau and partners of the program. Our goal is to help students gain a greater awareness of the role of agriculture in their everyday lives. This grant is to help teachers implement an Ag in the Classroom Program into their lesson plans. Applications are due Friday, November 1, 2019. Application form

In addition to the Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau grant opportunity, Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom offers grants of up to $300 to Pre-School through High School teachers across the state of Illinois to fund projects promoting agricultural literacy in the classroom. To apply for project funding, visit its website at www.agintheclassroom.org and complete the grant application. Application deadline for the IAITC grant is October 11, 2019.
