Local FFA students visit Monsanto

Approximately 40 high school students from the Midland FFA and the Putnam County FFA recentlyvisited the Monsanto Village Research Center in Chesterfield, Missouri.  This was an excellent opportunity for the students to experience another avenue for a possible career that is related to agriculture.  While at the plant, they were able to see how biotechnology is being used to help farmers with productivity on the farm, with the goal being to grow more nutritious food while conserving natural resources.

The Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau sponsored the trip and would like to thank the following who made donations to help defray the cost of the chartered bus:  Ag View FS, Midland FFA Alumni Association and Trent Griffith, Quaker Lane Enterprises.
