Annual Health Fair to be held March 28

The Women's Committee of the Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau will hold its annual health fair on March 28 at the Farm Bureau building from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  Screenings will be performed by Optimum Health Solutions of Peoria, Illinois. 

You must have an appointment to attend, and there are only 80 appointment times available. To schedule an appointment, call the Farm Bureau office at 309-364-2501. The last date to schedule an appointment is Wednesday, March 21.

A comprehensive metabolic panel* will cost $75. This screening includes:

• Lipid Profile (tests cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL)
• Complete Metabolic Panel (tests fasting blood sugar, electrolyte balance, kidney and liver function)
• Complete Blood Count (tests red blood count, white blood count, hemoglobin, etc.)

*This is a fasting blood test which means no food or drink for 12 hours prior, EXCEPT water which is encouraged.

Participants may opt to add TSH or PSA tests for an additional $12 for each test. These tests are only available when done in conjunction with the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel. The PSA test checks prostate levels, and the TSH test checks thyroid function.

Cash only will be expected at the time of the test. No checks will be accepted.
